We are a Wigan Based British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) branch, that formed in 2022. Our ethos is all about having fun whilst remaining safe underwater. We are a family centred diving branch that is more than just a group of divers. 

We initially started Just 4 Fun Diving following hearing many divers experiencing a lack of diving within their respective branches. We started with just five diving divers. Within two months we had members joining us from as far as Blackpool, Manchester, Kendal, Leigh and from all around the district of Wigan. 

We invite already qualified divers that want to expand their experience, knowledge and understanding of diving. BSAC, PADI, SSI, RAID etc divers with a diving qualification are more than welcome to join us. 

We have had several members come from other agencies to join us.

Due to the unique nature of our 'family orientated' branch we have more non-diving members than diving members. 

We have members from 11-79 years old.

We are all inclusive, with both able bodied and disabled divers. we have divers ranging from our youngest 'Discovery Diver', right through to First Class/Advanced Instructor qualifications.

We meet every two weeks though spring, summer, autumn and meet once a month during the cold dark winter months. 

Our monthly fees are just £5 per month. With club subs being used to buy branch equipment and to subsidise our annual branch BBQ.

In addition to our Diving calendar (where we have arranged dives every two weeks) we are partial to the odd night out, where we take part in team building events.

We are lucky to have trained health professionals amongst our ranks and so when it comes to first aid training and beyond, we are in a stronger position than most others.
